February 1, 2013 - I was just appointed a Visiting Research Scholar at the University of Houston Clear Lake, Department of Computer Science. I am honored, and will work my hardest to honor the University.

October 9, 2012 - The fall 2012 Workshop on Automation an Robotics takes place, as usual, at the NASA Gilruth Center, Johnson Space Center, on October 12, 2012. The workshop now includes a section on Complex Systems. Adaptive systems are complex systems.

August 6, 2012 - I am pleased to announce the graduation of the first student I know about, who worked in a practical application of Mathematical Causal Logic. Hon Lon Lum received a Master degree in Computer Engineering from University of Houston Clear Lake after defending his thesis on July 26, 2012. Hon's interest is in the area of High Performance Computing, and he pursued an application of causal logic to parallel computation. The title of his thesis is "Parallel Mapping Optimization from Computation to Parallel Processors via Matrix Transform." Dr. Prof. Liwen Shih was the Thesis Chair, and I was the Thesis Advisor. I helped the student in matters related to causal logic. There may be other similar efforts in Causal Logic in other parts of the country, or in other countries, but this is the only one I know about.

Hon supported himself for his research, working as a Teacher Assistant.

Hon received several offers of work as a TA at the same University. He was also accepted to the PhD program in Computer Engineering at University of Texas Dallas. It is expected that the thesis will soon be published by the University of Houston.
